What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks
● Responsible for leading the rooms division at the hotel, including housekeeping and front desk.
● Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. 
● Selects, supervises, trains, develops, schedules, disciplines, and counsels staff.
● Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire employees to meet and exceed standards
● In conjunction with the General Manager, acts as a direct liaison to all community organizations, county officials, industry associations and public relations entities
● Ensures all applicable standards, policies and procedures are fully implemented in all departments
● Participates in preparation of the annual operating budget and financial plans which support the overall objectives of the property
● Works with General Manager to meet or exceed established budgetary guidelines for the property
● Protects and enhances the value of all property assets through appropriate programs in maintenance, security, emergency preparedness, and capital improvements
● Analyzes team-member and guest feedback and discusses findings with department leaders. Introduces and leads necessary changes and improvements in process and services
● Act as the People & Culture (HR) representative for the  property
● Conducts administrative tasks related to recruiting, hiring and onboarding new team members
● Responds to employment verifications and unemployment claims
● Organize, maintain, and reconcile various financial records, both manually and through automated methods including payroll and purchasing controls
● Ensure proper internal control by monitoring guest ledger, advance deposits, and other related ledgers
● Performs accounting related tasks including, but not limited to, cash/checks deposits, payments, monthly petty cash report, etc.

The Nitty Gritty:

● At least 3 years progressive experience in a leadership role at a property of similar size and level of service
● Working knowledge of all applicable laws, codes and regulations
● Strong communication skills, including the ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests or the general public
● Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results
● Strong financial management skills, including budget management, expense control, forecasting and analysis of financial statements
● Strong people management skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling and relationship-building
● Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
● Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for guests to experience

The Brass Tacks
● Works with the General Manager in communicating all details through daily pre-shift meetings and manager and department meetings.
● Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
● Prepares weekly schedule of staff according to bookings and events
● Monitors forecast to insure labor and direct expenses are held within budgeted guidelines
● Monitor and analyze guest feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
● Manage room blocks and reservations; contract cut-off dates; guest room assignments
● Ensures the fulfillment of any special instructions related to all room reservations
● Reviews the housekeeping supervisor’s scheduling of team members according to business volumes
● Monitors the revenue forecast to insure labor and direct expenses are held within budgeted guidelines
● Oversees a deep cleaning schedule for tents and public spaces
● Assists with execution of all group and social events
● Handle guest complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, striving to resolve issues to the guest’s satisfaction
● Involvement with MOD Program and will assist overseeing the Welcome Desk in the absence of a Manager 

The Nitty Gritty
● Five or more years’ experience in a management role at an inn, hotel, resort or equivalent
● Working knowledge of all applicable laws, codes and regulations
● Strong communication skills, including the ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals
● Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests or the general public
● Ability to compute rate, ratio, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs
● Ability to create a team environment within and across departments
● Strong computer literacy
● Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
● Strong financial management skills, including budget management, expense control, forecasting and analysis of financial statements.
● Strong people management skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling, and relationship-building.

What you’ll do:
Plan, design, implement and control Food and Beverage operations, ensuring profitability, efficient operations and adherence to established standards.
● Establishes and maintains standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, handling, sanitation and safety in alignment with property standards and applicable regulations.
● Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that all work practices meet or exceed the established standards.
● Participates in the preparation of the annual operating budget and financial plans which support the overall objectives.
● Establishes and maintains budgeted supply and labor costs for Food & Beverage operations.
● Conducts industry research to accurately project future trends.
● Works with the management team on menu planning, pricing and preparation.
● Ensures the security of all Food & Beverage supplies, equipment and inventory by establishing and ensuring adherence to security standards.
● Provides regular and on-going communication with all departments in order to keep staff informed of updates, changes and/or problematic situations.
● Conducts frequent inspections of all dining, kitchen and storage areas to ensure that all Food & Beverage activities meet or exceed the established standards.
● Reports all unsafe conditions immediately. Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and functioning. Ensures all equipment is used only as intended.
● Ensures timely and courteous follow-through on all client, guest and team member requests.
● Selects, supervises, trains, develops, schedules, disciplines, and counsels staff.
Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
● Provides timely formal assessment of individual team members in alignment with the performance review policy and procedures.
● Performs in the capacity of any position supervised as needed (based on qualifications).
● Conducts training on job standards and areas of responsibility as needed.

The Nitty Gritty
● Five or more years of related front of house and management experience
● Computer literacy in the Point of Sale system and the sales and catering computer application
● Strong working knowledge of fine dining and beverage service procedures.
● Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
● Working knowledge of equipment utilized by the Food & Beverage team at the property.
● Food handling and other permits, licenses or certifications as required.
● Ability to read, write and understand English.
● Strong communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests or the general
public.
● Ability to create a team environment within and across departments.
● Basic computer literacy.
● Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
● Financial management skills, including budget management, expense control and analysis of Profit and Loss statements.
● Strong people management skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling and relationship-building.
● Ability to understand and apply labor and industry-specific laws and regulations.
